on a serious note...was that the actual voice to be used? seriosuly.... it makes me cringe. i like the dialogue just not the actualy sound of the voice.

I have to agree on the voice. Needs to be much deeper and sound more american.

The audio is from a performance of Shakespeare's King Henry V. It is supposed to be Brittish sounding. A zag for a game ad, but that's the point. Also, it sounds like junk on the web. Compressed and no bass. On TV it is more cinematic and full.

Voice was really the only thing I didn't like. I thought the GT footage looked nice. My question is this, is the GT footage a cut scene or actual game play?

The graphics of the cutscenes in GT5 Prologue and the gameplay are the same. The only difference is the camera angles. THe scene from the driver's seat is actual gameplay (one of the view options: in-cockpit view. Accurate for each model. They scanned 900 vehicle interiors for the full GT5 game) So that one and the one chasing cars through London Streets is driver POV out of cockpit. We chose a lot of the replay footage because it was the most dynamic and showed a variety of vehicles and tracks. But the game footage is really really nice. Some people walked in on the editor during the edit and thought he was editing a car ad, said "this film looks great" heh.

So... quick question...

Will the PS3, using internet online, upconvert online porn?

just kidding, of course, but wouldn't it be sweet?

I can tell you that I've seen stuff on my 65" plasma that looks very close to HD. (though looking at a hole that you could feasibly climb into is not all that appetizing)

The issue is, if you download and save to your PS3 media folder, there's no way to password protect just that folder, so if you have a family that uses the nav bar to watch movies or play games, it's risky.

Or, at least I've heard. :thumb:

We're going to INSOMNIAC Friday to play Resistance 2. PBJ

I wonder if we'll get to talk to Ted Price again.

I just saw the St. Crispen's Day ad during Euro 2008 and was going to ask if you had anything to do with it.

Because the "we few, we merry few" is clearly discussing the number of games on the system, laffo.

No it's not. But if that's what you take from it, then so be it. That's your deal.

I am confused. Didn't you install Linux thus killing the PS3 as a console? Why would you even need the update?

I haven't installed Linux, but I'm pretty sure that when you want to play a game, you need to use the PS3's OS.

This update is a precursor to an update that will be out within the month that lets you access your messages (and hopefully music) while playing the game.

You would not be able to do this on the Linux side.

As far as today's update, it was just to fix a few bugs in certain games.

I was only asking Slag since I knew he wiped out his PS3 to run Linux on it. I figured by him doing that, the PS3 was technically just a computer at that point.

Im pretty sure you have to keep at least 10 GB for the PS3's OS.

I could be wrong, but I think thats what it is.
