Btw, Tom, what do you think about KU's blowout win over Oklahoma St, a far better program than Missouri?

Congrats on your one win in 7 games . . . . . .

I'd argue the majority of KC fans ARE obsessed with Denver to some degree based on the Donkos thread being the longest running, most populated and most posted in thread on ChiefsPlanet for quite some time now.

Elway and that fanbase have left some permanent scars that are still healing . . . . .

A few are, sure. But some (like me) just like to laugh at them. After years of arrogance, it's funny to see them completely humbled.

People are obsessed with trolls, not sure they're obsessed with the Broncos.

I've had fun in this thread, but to jump to me "being obsessed with Missouri".... uh, no. Can't remember the last MU football game I watched (maybe an SEC Championship game) and the only BB game I've watched in years was the KU game last season.

Doesn't mean I can't have some fun at Missouri's expense every once in a while, but they're as irrelevant as ever in both sports (similar to the Broncos and Raiders rivalries with the Chiefs).

Thanks. So they were awesome when they were 5-0, then suddenly started playing badly, but it had nothing to do with their QB getting injured during their first loss. Does that accurately summarize your position?:D

Agree completely on your last statement. It's generally the only reason I ever post in there. Just to rub a little salt in the wound when the opportunity presents itself (which has been quite often).

I think your 'awesome' had more to do with the fact that your schedule was front loaded with the Big 12 garbage (Iowa St. & West Virginia) and non-cons like Tennessee Tech and Houston. Duke was an okay win. When you hit the 'meat' of your schedule and the good teams started rolling in you promptly went 1-6 to close out the year.

I think the above accurately summarizes my position.

Wait, so you are saying that there WAS a conversation about playing KU in a bowl game and MU said "No we don't want to play them"?

I'm saying Mizzou told them to 'get bent' or '**** off', whichever you prefer, much like Kansas and Bill Self spent half a decade saying the same thing to Mizzou after they left for the SEC.

And the convo (and decision) was a joint decision between the Mizzou Administration and the SEC, it had nothing to do with the coaches or players.

Yes, I think we all acknowledge that the second half of the schedule was much harder. Many schools would have struggled to win more than a game or two in that stretch, healthy or not.

But that makes your "6 of 7" point irrelevant. It's not that they were playing far better in the beginning or far worse down the stretch, it's that they lost to talented opponents. Which neuters your entire argument about trending in the wrong direction, see.

A program clearly on the rise!!

It’s a dumb argument anyway. Sagarin has Iowa State -7 and WVU -3 against Mizzouche. If Stinkwitz played our schedule he’d have not made a bowl

Agree to disagree.

Guess we'll find out next year, huh?

Good luck against Arkansas, that 'patsie' that Mizzou just beat . . . . . .
