But the rewards of Hopkins outweigh it imo. Besides, they'll still play and gain experience.

They don't have any more money than us. We redo the Jones contract, we have the money. But, just because we can make it work this year, if he wants top money, we move on.

Nagy back as OC.... Mahomes with three teir one skill position players (Toney/Kelce/Hopkins) add in THAT running back everyone missed on.

Oh yeah.... And defense also has tons of young pieces and has a chance at being special.

The NFL wrote this script in 2007 but Brady failed...Mahomes wont... Yes boys and girls.. Its time for a perfect season followed by a undefeated record and another Mahomes MVP season....

His stats will be so mountainous that they will be blantantly disregaurded talking about states in the future (Think Wilt C.)

Nfl does not want us in their script. Which is why its spectacular when we win despite it

I'd rather not sign Hopkins at this point. I'd like to see Jones get a contract extension and use that freed up money on our young up and coming talent that will need new contracts soon. Humphrey, Bolton, Gay, Sneed (Pacheco soon) will all have a greater impact on this team by keeping them here than bringing in Hopkins.

You are basically talking Skyy?

I'm not expecting a lot out of rookie Rice with or without Hopkins although I certainly hope Skyy can take the next step as a year two player.

Toney will play, if healthy. A big if.

If Skyy had finished the season stronger, I would feel better about things. No, I haven't given up on him. But the WR room still has enough questions that Hopkins would be somebody I think you should think about on the off chance he wants to take a reasonably cheap one year deal with KC.

Although I suspect he'll ask for too much.

Yep, pretty reasonable approach imo. I'd probably see what we've got on rhe assumption we might need some flexibility on e.g. bringing in another DT. But given WR IS a big question mark getting Hopkins on a short, incentive laden deal seems pretty good too.

The guy probably has something left in the tank, but how motivated to excel is he? Chemistry-wise, I've got concerns. Pass.

I am as hungry as anyone for a WR1 but this is the part that concerns me most. I do think a lot of it is actually injury management and I've never heard him to be a low effort player. But not practicing much is a little concerning

This, and we got Sneed, then Bolton, Creed and Trey coming up. If he wants to chase a ring on a 1 year discount deal, great, if not, move on... We are not that franchise chasing old Vets at a premium anymore, it's how you not only close, but slam shut your window.

there's no way the eagles sign hopkins, and why would he want to go to buffalo where diggs is going to be whining about him, plus they have a dumbass HC?

yeah he's coming here or some loser team for $25m

Womble 05-27-2023 10:39 AM

Whole of the NFL will collectively shit their pants if we get this over the line. Mahomes, DHop, CEH and Kelce offense is just cheat code.
