Not long now until the Chiefs take their obligatory Division 2 or 3 player.

Frosty 04-27-2013 10:54 AM

If the Chiefs want Scott, they better trade up in front of Seattle.

Where is Gettleman when you need him?

Oh, right, building the Panthers as playoff contenders.

I love that pick.

He has Belcher's attitude but with more size and strength...and less murder. Johnson plays with a ferocious edge and fire that we just don't have on our defense. I love the attitude he'll bring.

He's not going to be an elite coverage backer, but the Ted doesn't need to be; that's not his primary role. As a run-support ILB, he's among the very best in the draft and he's going to be good enough in coverage to keep from being a complete mis-match and liability.

I'd have preferred Kevin Reddick because I want some interior pass-rushing ability and we're clearly not getting it from our down lineman. But if that's not how they envision using the Ted backer, then Johnson is a damn near ideal fit.

that's just ****ing ridiculous

I do agree with this. I would have rather picked Nassib over Barkley anyway.

I don't mind this pick. The only one that really pisses me off is Knile. Fisher would have been fine had they dealt Albert. My biggest concern is Dorsey seems to be wanting to make deals and can't get them done. I still like Reid, but Dorsey hasn't impressed me in the least.
