Yeah, I don't know if he's saying he can't offer much because he's broke or he can't offer much emotionally because he's detached/non-committal about a relationship.

no, he said he wouldn't ask me to wait on him until his life got straight. I know there have been times we could have spent together that I had other things to do and put him off, I guess it kind of both our faults because of jobs and too little time to do everything.
