Watch out for the corn hole, bud.

That's gotta be a mistake, he isn't listed inactive anywhere else

mdchiefsfan 11-17-2013 06:26 PM

Chiefs inactives are Bray, Dunta Robinson, Nico Johnson, Kush, Watkins, Rishaw Johnson and Howard. Sanders Commings will play first NFL game

— Adam Teicher (@adamteicher) November 18, 2013
Talked to Dunta on Friday about his lack of PT. Said he will be a good teammate. "If that's my role," he said, "I'm fine with that."

Obviously, we want to win and plan to win, but I was thinking about something.

If we have a one-game lead and confidence, then a split with Denver gives us the division. So imagine you're on the road with the league's best pass rush, going against a gimpy quarterback pushing 40 who wears a neck halo brace and is the sole talent on the opposing team. And then imagine you have a home game against Gimpy McNieck in just two weeks.

I'm not saying we should do this, and I don't think I want to do this, but I could see the following as a strategy. You just send guys on every play, go single man coverage, and hit hit hit the gimp. You go vanilla and don't show anything play-wise. You know you'll give up some plays and you might even lose, but if you beat the daylights out of this guy it'll slow him down for weeks. He's old and frail. And then in two weeks you're at home, you've got their film and they've got nothing on you, and you're facing an even gimpier and more beat-up quarterback.

Along similar lines, if I were coaching the Broncos, I'd seriously consider sitting the gimp out of this game and the next one against the Patriots.
