Anyone out there?

OK, here's the play-by-play. They are discussing how close Junior is to actually winning a race or something. This is ground breaking journalism you're missing.

chefsos 10-12-2013 05:24 PM

Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.... down to Ryan's Farm and I forget the rest of the lyrics.

Not Junior's, surprisingly, because there is a ready-made theme song for that...

The best part is that they don't conflict with NFL football...or whatever that game is the Giants play.

Don't get me started on the Giants!

If you would like to have an intellectual conversation about Kevin Gilbride's 'option' offense in passing, we can do that - This way you will understand why Eli and his receivers have a ton of INT - The Giants offense is considered one of the most complex in the NFL, calling for receivers to identify the defensive alignment they're facing and adjust their pass routes accordingly.

Rueben Randle has 6 INT. That is how many of the big plays he's involved in with the ball in the hands of the opposing defense. They need to dumb it down for new players - However, this coaching staff will never do that.

Dylan 10-12-2013 06:17 PM

Kyle's crew screwed up - They took lug nuts off for 4 tires, when they actually changed just 2. Restarted in the back and now up to 20 something... What a miscommunication.

That's just crazy especially for the QB.

chefsos 10-12-2013 06:19 PM

Seems to me that the 88 and 5 could have made that "let him by and draft him to get that paper off the grille" maneuver much more efficient.

To recap: They ****ed it up.

I think he should have made him pass down low so he could sweep it going down the track and have a better chance to catch him if the sweep failed.

It drives everybody insane...especially The Wall Street Journal's sports writers who make it their business to be knowledgeable about offensive and defensive football systems.

Giants' receivers have to learn a 100-route tree and defensive schemes - sight adjustment where most receivers are in the 20-25 range and do not have to learn defensive schemes - Add that to the worst offensive line in Giants history that cannot protect Eli - might lead to 0-16... the defense sucks.

They have to clean house top to bottom including getting rid of garbage players.

Kills me that TEs play a very important role in Kilbride's offense and yet the GM insists on rent-a-tight end every season.

Dylan 10-12-2013 06:53 PM

Interesting stuff Dylan, I didn't know that's how Coughlin ran his offense. Any chance he gets fired at the end of the year? I'm guessing probably not since he took them to the SB.

TE's are a key element to a complete offense. I thought that position was under used for years. Even when TG was with the Chiefs I didn't think they used him as much as they should've.

chefsos 10-12-2013 07:00 PM

Wow, Larson's running 12th in that POS 51 car? Or, is that a Ganassi car with #51 on it? Well, either way, the kid's impressive.

I do not think the Giants would fire Coughlin - He is responsible for winning two Super Bowls.

Depending on how many games the team loses - The Mara family could push Coughlin to retire or at the very least, make changes to his coaching staff.

Coughlin's contract ends in 2014.

Kenseth's car has been ass all week and all night. And now here he is, running through the field like they're tied to a stump. Kenseth is so good at this stuff (making chicken salad out of chicken shit); he did it in the 17 car, too.

Funny you should bring that up - I was checking out Formula 1 - F1 race starts at approx. 1:30 am ET - One member from Eastern Europe said the same - "Kenseth doing the opposite of last 2 races.... having a bad start but now in the top 5"

Another is a fan of Jeff Gordon - He posted this photo of Jeff's last pit stop - Cool photo:

Phantom debris caution

This should make the finish interesting.

25 laps to go

Where is everybody?

Kasey & Jeff are leading...

Uh oh, it's getting racey!

4 tire changes are on the move.

Dylan 10-12-2013 08:57 PM

4-tires was the way to go

right now it is between Kayne and Keselowski

Kayne had a 2 tire change - Keselowski with 4.

Heading into lap traffic

Demonpenz 10-12-2013 08:58 PM

yawza blue duece. doing work.

Dylan 10-12-2013 09:00 PM

Wow...Fierce battle - great job by Keselowski...

He's got the win.

Edit: Awesome burnout.

Demonpenz 10-12-2013 09:01 PM

That track is awesome. #2

Al Bundy 10-12-2013 09:03 PM

Looks like Kahne finished second again. Great car, TERRIBLE driver. I seriously think none of the other drivers respect Kasey, they know they can do whatever the hell they want to him and he will just take it.

Dylan 10-12-2013 09:05 PM

Kasey's crew chief blew it by taking 2-tires instead of 4.

Kasey was the only driver able to compete with Keselowski with 2-tire change - all the other drivers with a 2-tire change faded a little further back.

Kasey is a good driver.

Talladega next week - that'll mess up the standings.

chefsos 10-12-2013 09:05 PM

So Brad is carrying Old Glory along in his burnout because...Columbus Day?

Talladega: Trucks 29 to go

Oh noooooooooooo!

What a mess! I got up to go into another room and all hell breaks loose.

Dylan 10-19-2013 04:26 PM

OMG! huge crash on the final turn at Talladega that took out Kyle and everyone else racing at the front of the pack.

Edit:

Sauter survived the Talladega 'Big Ones' and wins the race.

Edit:
Washington Post:
Quote:

Sauter was the only one to be spared from a crash that occurred when pole-sitter Jeb Burton got tangled up with Busch, sending the Sprint Cup star slamming into both inside and outside walls. Miguel Paludo’s flipped and slid across the line upside down, before turning back over in the first turn, finally coming to a stop with flames flickering from the hood.

Bugeater 10-19-2013 06:04 PM

I am shocked...literally shocked...that there's a NASCAR driver named Jeb.

That's Talladega for you, expect the big one.

Still, after all these years, just saying or reading the word "Talladega" gives a little chill up the spine. The place is exciting and creepy, and always has been.

Engines fired. Here we go...

Bugeater 10-20-2013 12:18 PM

I am in. Hopefully this thread has a little less poo-flinging than the Geno/Brady thread.

Bugeater 10-20-2013 12:22 PM

Aww Jeff, you pussy. I kinda liked the idea of 43 cars going 190mph hitting a puddle of water.

chefsos 10-20-2013 12:32 PM

I guess the 40 car had the qualifying engine in.

Remember when they used to do that shit? Special hand grenade motors just for qualifying, changing blown engines in 15 minutes during a race...

chefsos 10-20-2013 12:45 PM

Keselowski completely ****ed Kenseth over when he went with him on a pass for the lead and then tucked back in behind the 31, leaving him high and dry out there. And it didn't matter because the 20 just waited for the outside lane to catch up with him and took the lead anyway.

Kurt is going to light it up at SHR next season...
