I think he's managing expectations to some degree. It "may" have to regress.
If he can't re-sign Kendrys or get a starter, he can say he warned you about the payroll.

Colorado averaged 500 more per game!
I don't even know why Kansas City bothers to have a team.

Fangraphs lights up Hoz again. I doubt many will read the defensive explanations so no point even arguing it any more, but now his baserunning metrics have fallen near the bottom of MLB too:

In other news, how badly did we miss Cueto and Zo? Obv great players that outsized this market, we weren't going to keep them but....Cueto finished 4th in pitching fWAR at 5.5, Zo at 4.1. We got almost nothing from 2B and our rotation, so you can say a net loss of -8 wins. 89 gets a playoff spot.

Also Moose losing 3 fWAR from last year to Cuthbert a replacement player mattered, that's basically all you need to explain the gap from 2015. Those 3, we make the playoffs.

Didn't Dane badmouth the Cueto and Zobrist trades last year?

Genius

If you had to choose, do you root Jays or Orioles in the Wildcard game tomorrow?

Hmm.

Jays are full of douches but O's have La Canfora.

I'll definitely pull for the Rangers this postseason tho

Start praying for a 20 inning game that blows up their bullpens and burns starters.

Answer the question!

And I can't root for Canada anything. Go Orioles.

"As it turns out, his season put him on the short list for worst 100-RBI season ever. He wasn’t the worst, but the fact that he’s on the list is worrisome, and you really couldn’t blame the Royals if they non-tendered him this winter."

Yeah, right.

Your obsession with PB is unhealthy.
