I see some of you bashing on Stanzi. I'm a huge Hawkeye fan and I remember last year a lot MORE people bashing on the Moeaki pick. I said it last year with Tony and I'll say it this year with Ricky, it's a great pick. You give Ricky a couple of years to learn and develop and he can certainly start for us. Fifth round pick is GREAT. Give him time. He's a hell of a lot better than Croyle and given time to adjust to the speed of the NFL, may end up being better than Cassell. LOVE the pick.

The Bucs are having a pretty damned good draft.

That's high praise.

I KNOW he's better than someone who shouldn't be in the league (Croyle), and in time he MIGHT be better than someone who is mediocre in the league.

Dreeeeeeeeammm weeeaverrrrr.....

Anyone else think Belichick might take Herzlich here?

OskaloosaChief 04-30-2011 01:01 PM

I'm not saying he's an All-Pro or anything, but he's really a pretty good QB. Look at his career record at Iowa. The guy just goes out and wins. The program turned around when he took over and it wasn't a co-incedence. When faced with what we have, he's definitely better than Croyle and could end up being better than Cassell. Look at his improvement from his junior year to his senior year. It was incredcible. I just hope he keeps improving.

He had a nice season, specially considering he was without his best WR. I was hoping the Chiefs would take him if they were going to take a qb late in the draft.
