if we overspend for a guy in free agency, that tells brandon Flowers, Hali, Carr, Bowe...etc, etc...that they should expect to be overpaid as well and the agents use that as leverage.

You overpay for someone in free agency, it makes the probability of losing your own guys that much higher.
