Plus.. the way the Cubs have choked away several opportunities to get to the World Series.

There are a lot of people who say Cubs fans don't care if they win, they just enjoy the stadium and the experience. I know several Cubs fans very well and I can tell you they don't relish being the lovable losers... they want to win.

Didn't play today - Berkman's first day back. Holliday and Molina didn't start. Although Holliday did come in as a PH with two runners on and of course the ****er struck out.

Only highlight I saw before I left was Beltran's homer. This weekend was the first time I'd ever seen him or Berkman play in person.

FWIW I'd call Cubs fans the greatest fans in baseball, hands down. 100+ years without a title and they still pack the place and play that stupid song after every win. Those are some die hards.

Isnt that the truth.LMAO

Meh. They're mainly drunken reeruns.

Not true from the experience I have with many Cubs fans here. They may enjoy themselves at the game but they want to win more than anything.

I watched Carpenter play in a Spring training game. He struck out in his first at bat and looked like crap doing it. Then his 2nd and 3rd at bats he crushed two balls, one into the gap and another down the line. RBI's both times.

I have lived/worked in and around Chicago for 25 years.

I'm sticking with drunken reeruns.

OK. The several I know aren't to be cut with that wide swath.

Yeah the Chiefs have the greatest fans in football. Just like the Cardinals have the greatest fans in baseball.
Don't you feel that way about your favorite teams fans?
I think everyone should feel that way about their teams and their teams fans because you are one of those fans.

No.. I know for a fact the Buccaneers don't have the best fans. I think we have one of the worst fanbases.

From my experience living in Chicago, most of the people that go to Cubs games aren't so much baseball fans as they are fans of getting drunk in public on shit ass "Old Style" beer.

Heh, former Royal scrub Aviles with 10 more RBIs than Pujols 35 games deep.

Carlota69 05-16-2012 07:50 AM

Angels just fired their hitting coach, Mickey Hatcher. Needed to be done. The team has been shut out 8 times already (most in the league), and of course watching one of the greatest hitters of our generation take a shit at the plate nightly didnt really help his job security. Pujols went 3-4 last night...granted, his 3 hits were weak sauce (grounders that made it thru), but we'll take it and the RBIs that came with them.

Two games straight with a home run. 5-game hitting streak. Still not up to form, but seems like he's showing signs of coming back.

It's always awesome acquiring a struggling player at the right time in fantasy.
