Now lets just hope he stays healthy this year because he can rake.

Out to an entire season Pujols is projected to be 5 HR 49 RBI. His slugging percentage has Dal Maxville calling him a weak punk, even though at .291 its higher than Maxville's career slugging percentage.

Scary game last night. Was that J.C. Romero pitching, or George Romero? Ugh. Good thing the offense showed up big.

There aren't many hitters out there that can (and will) take that pitch and drive it that far to straightaway center.

Pujols would've spun his foot, thrown his hips open, whipped his shoulder out and grounded to SS with it. Holliday would've probably popped it up, though if he were on one of his streaks, he'd have simply muscled it into a liner off the left-center field wall.

But for Craig to simply take the pitch where it was thrown, drop the bathead and drive that mother 450 feet to dead center was incredibly impressive.

The guy is the best pure hitter as the system has produced since Albert. And if you take Albert out, he's likely to end up as the best the system has produced in my lifetime.

Seriously, that moonshot was just all kinds of fun to watch.

Holy Beltran. And to think I used to hate he and Berkman because I feared them every time they came up to the plate. It's pretty cool being on the Beltran and Berkman side of the fence when they are doing well for us.

Beltran does not suck.

Cubs are playing better. They are up to .400 now. At this rate they won't be out of it until July.

I'm not content until their hopes are completely squashed.

3-2 top of the ninth. Runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs. Holliday comes through for a change.

TrebMaxx 05-09-2012 10:16 PM

Then a Craig 2 run shot to ice it! 7-2

More like wholesome badness. Bases loaded, one out in the bottom of the 9th.

Whew. Saved by a nice double play. But ****......
