The risk to reward ratio for drafting Geno is 5 fold better than drafting any other position.

The upside is having a franchise quarterback for 13-15 years...the downside is no worse than drafting another position.

You're just NEVER going to stop with this shit, are you?

Neither the Chiefs, nor any other team, is going to choose a QB #1 overall in 2013 and have him sit on the bench for years on end. ESPECIALLY the Chiefs because they just gave up the #36 overall for what? Oh yeah, a QB!

And 13-15 YEARS? LMAO

You have transformed into the posters you used to clown day after day.

I've said a bunch of times that they aren't gonna take Geno at 1...that doesn't mean we can't have discussions about it on a Chiefs message board in a thread that's about Geno Smith going first overall.

If you don't want to talk about it, post elsewhere.

If you want to have a discussion, answer the questions that have been posted and let's talk.

BossChief 03-21-2013 03:34 PM

As for your laughter about saying 13-15 years...I was CLEARLY talking about his UPSIDE.

If a team hits on a franchise quarterback in the draft and they play till they are 36, how many years did they play?

Um, you can have as many discussion as your stupidass would like but the mere idea that Smith is going to the Chiefs under ANY circumstances should be dead and buried.

Yet in EVERY thread, you bring it up. It's not only annoying, it just shows that you're a dumbass.

There is NO REASON to discuss it. NONE. ZERO. ZILCH.

BossChief 03-21-2013 03:58 PM

Yes, there is reason to discuss it because Andy Reid recently said that Geno is one of the 8 players they are considering for the pick and even brought up the situation he was in in Philly when he turned down the Eagles for their whole draft and took McNabb...he even went as far as to say that adding Alex Smith doesn't prohibit them from taking Geno.

There is no question that could (and likely is) a smokescreen...but with his history of stacking the qb position, it's fun to keep hope alive.

Good luck with that.

Seems to be working so far. Outside of fan sites/forums no one is really even considering the Jaguars might take him still. Even Adam Shefter NFL network said that there were a bunch of teams that have a need at QB that could take him, and listed the Raiders, Eagles, Cardinals, Buffalo, Browns, and New York, but not the Jaguars.

Geno.

Or a Guard. one of the two at #1

Boss reminds me of a child that found out Santa Clause isn't real, but doesn't want to believe it so he keeps trying to rationalize things out of desperation.

Bullshit, especially in this draft.

There is not a single, immediate, franchise changing QB in this draft. Teams need to get immediate impact players with their first round selections, let alone the #1 overall pick in the draft.

Look at how the Chiefs ****ed up their 2009 and 2011 drafts for proof. Instead of a guy like Orapko or Harvin or Maclin or Cushing or Matthews and so on, the Chiefs waited around for 4 years on Tyson Jackson and all they got was a part-time player.

In 2011, they passed on Dalton and Kaepernick but were "rewarded" with Jonathan Baldwin instead. How's that worked out?

If the #1 overall pick needs to "develop" on the bench for a season or two before he's ready to start, that player is unworthy of the #1 overall pick. That's a ****ing waste of resources, not to mention the fact that contracts are only four years long, unless after the second season, you decide to pick up the option for a fifth year.

What team in their right mind is going to sit a player for two years, then decide to pick up the option for a fifth when they've been incapable of starting for TWO YEARS?

Nor is there generational talent worthy of one/one at all other positions. Need, meet BPA. Any other pick if Full-reerun FAIL. All gaps are plugged, and trading down is for quitters. It is, and has become, what it is. But don't worry; I'm sure your new buddies at the FO will find a way to **** it all up royally then justify it, yes.

Sometimes, fiction is better than non fiction.

Especially given the non fiction situation the Chiefs are currently in.

Sweet Daddy Hate 03-21-2013 06:42 PM

Yeah its so bad, they'll likely never make another "History of the Chiefs" DVD.

Your team is a potential playoff team. First World Football Problem.

they will, but it'll be like the old days where they showed Looney Tunes before movies.

the history of the chiefs would be like watching "Celebrating The Musical Catalogue of Rico Suave" on VH1
