To be honest though, I'm more interested in the "why" if a group of players were singling Martin out. The racism angle doesn't seem to fly *IF* players like Wallace and Pouncey are in cahoots with or supportive of Incognito.

It's purely speculation, but my guess is that he was the easiest target and/or the one least likely to fight back. That seems to be the way bullying works.

Why does it matter if someone talks about it? Is there some reason why this particular characteristic should be kept secret?

If I asked what kind of car Martin drives to the stadium each day, would I have been met with multiple posters asking why it matters? Why bring it up? I doubt it.

The answer to your question (which you would already know if you bothered to read it the handful of other times I've posted it) is yes it matters. It matters because it's a potential motive that would help explain what was going on in that lockerroom. It would have nothing to do with justification, as far as I'm concerned, but it might help explain why it happened.

Why would the kind of car matter?

If, when you ask if it matters, you mean do I think that would justify mistreatment, the answer is no.

What makes you think he's gay? Because you can't find anything about a gf/wife?

Let's just say for the sake of argument that Martin drives a pink Miata...

I can't remember who wrote it, but I read a book or a magazine article at one point about Oklahoma's football teams in the 1950s. I have no idea why anyone would have willingly joined that team. Civilization completely broke down on those teams.

The one thing that I particularly remember, other than the Oklahoma drill, was that they would do some sort of race on their hands and knees. Everyone would put a grape in their rectum to start the race, and whoever came in last had to eat the grapes. I think I would have transferred to Northwestern before the instructions were even out of the coach's mouth on that one.

It was long thought that he did, but it turned out to be Marv Albert in drag.

According to Adam Schefter, Martin was not the only person in the organization who felt threatened by Incognito. He's just the one who did something about it.

Yeah, he didn't really get into details... if the attacks on Martin were worse than other employees, or what those issues were.

He clearly said though that other people within the Dolphins were not comfortable with Incognito's behavior. He was just on ESPN talking about it a little bit ago.

I've never understood the public's fascination with who their sports heroes are ****ing.

People are weird. That's all I can really come up with.

Granted, that's hypothetical since no Chief would ever be a jerk, but you get the drift.

That's disappointing to me, considering there are countless fantastic human beings in all levels of football.
