This team is cursed with bad luck and has been for a very long time.

Marty bad luck: Elliot missed FG's and we lose. He benched Gannon and we lose not to mention DT passes away.

DV: All world offense and the worst defense in league history and we lose.

Since then it's been a disaster. Croyle always broke and the team can't win, Huard not good enough to say the least and the team can't win. Pioli slammed Matt down Haley's throat and we can't win.

Reid and Dorsey have the number one pick in the same year as the worst draft class of all time forcing us to take an LT and trade for Smith who of course is not exactly a scoring machine. Lose Houston and Charles for two playoff years.

IMO Dorsey's best work has been through FA and UDFA's.

He's been absolutely amazing at finding gems other teams cut.

His drafting is highly over-rated...

My meaning was we needed a QB and there were none worth a shit rated as first rounders.

If we were going for one that year he was our best option, I agree.

That said we should have made a move over the last 3 years to groom a replacement...

No doubt but Pioli like an idiot paid Matt an over blown contract and forced Haley to start him no matter what. Pioli would never make a move at QB.
