I've acknowledged he dropped his trade stock by his behavior. But it's also possible to recognize that behavior didn't have to happen if some fans didn't treat him like shit.

But to more directly answer your question, given peters' connection to Oakland, more than possible that teams didn't want to trade for a guy they knew they'd never be able to keep. As I've said before only two teams negotiated for Alex Smith, that doesn't mean there weren't plenty of teams interested.

How come you're not pushing back on people who put 0% accountability on fans for their behavior? While putting 100% blame on peters? I'm asking because i think I remember you being level headed and fair on the issue.

As I've said before, Peters was an overreacting powder keg. And we lit the match. And we didn't have to.

Nobody is putting it 100% on Peters.

It's at least as much on the franchise for failing to either assess him as incapable of being tamed, or failing in their campaign to tame him. 'Taming' being shorthand for whatever it takes to make him amenable to making millions to play football for the team that took a chance on him and drafted him.

Saying Peters is a powder keg and we lit the match when we didn't 'have to' assumes a lot for the narrative. The fans didn't ask for a powderkeg, and they didn't forfeit their right to respond as customers to powderkeg behavior. Further, labelling him a powderkeg is fairly dehumanizing, suggesting that he's a slave to his temper.

Oh bull ****ing shit, you just cant stop blaming the fans

Alex Smith is not a 25 year old perennial Pro Bowler, so they're not even in the same universe... no, team after team passed on this jackass because they didnt want his ignorant ass drama in their clubhouse, talent be damned

He was a beast in that SD game which won us the division. But let’s boo him because he won’t stand for the anthem and has an occasional tantrum. Half of this fanbase deserves the mediocrity this franchise serves on a regular basis.

The Chiefs were desperate sellers in a sale with one bidder. They wernt going to get market value. It sucks seeing it worded the way it is in that tweet but anyone could see the Rams getting the better of this deal from a mile away.

Just face it, it was a shit trade.

FFS we had to give up one of our picks ROFL

People are saying we shouldn't have drafted him, but we still got two good years('15 and '17) and all All Pro year('16) for a dude on his rookie contract. The only first rounder we have drafted in the last ten years who has had better production is Berry.

As Petro said today. Maybe the Chiefs got everything they could out of him. That it probably wasn't going to work one more year. I also give him credit for saying when he was drafted, Peters will become less and less behaved the longer he's here.

Yup there were what 8 teams interested in Alex Smith?

Must be because of the fans.

Which trophy do we hoist for that?

LMAO yea the fact nobody offered more than what KC got was because there were so many people interested in a player that was obviously going to be moved and for fairly cheap.

GloryDayz 02-26-2018 09:13 PM

Peters walking out.... The pussy couldn't take the snow either.
