My initial reaction was "what the **** is this shit?" But after reading the article, looks like the Royals hands are tied here. Someone from the White House should make an exception. The only guys I'd be looking at, if the team was trying to make a major upgrade at SP, would be Teheran, Archer, and Sonny Gray. Archer and Gray have been brutal this year, but there's enough track record there for me to like.

But you're either all-in or you're out, IMO. If we think guys like Tepesch are going to move the needle, we're probably deluding ourselves. Not that GMDM thinks that, but yeah.

Archer is the guy I would make a run at.

The price for Archer would be similar to that of Sonny Gray, I would imagine. Relatively young stud having a down year + plenty of control time-wise.

According to Duncan, that price (for Gray) would be Mondesi+ and the Royals don't seem to have any plans on letting him go. IMO, I imagine that scenario would hold up here as well.

I think it had to do with the team the Royals faced and what's happening in their city.

There wasn't an Indians feed on DTV, either.

I went tonight, it might not have been an official sellout, but their were a ton of fans there.

That answer is crap. I watch tons of not sold out home Royals games. Not sure why tonight wasn't on but it wasn't because of unsold tickets.

Fyi, you can get around the At Bat blackout by using a mock GPS location that's out of the home or away team market. I just use an app called Fake GPS. It's in the Play store, free, and as simple as touching a location to mark your fake location.

Imagine you're in your 20s and a top prospect who no fault of his own keeps having health issues and injuries.

This isn't Jay(son) Williams, who ended his career speeding around like an idiot on street bike, or Rothlisberger, who lucked out and didn't end his career.

Hell, Tony G. broke the terms of his contract when he injured his knee playing pick up basketball.

It sucks, but no need to shit on the kid for something that is beyond his control. He's doing exactly what the Royals organization and doctors ask, and can't shake the injury bug.

If we get back in this thing, we'll all look at last night as the spark. That was a big win.

Exactly. Nobody has more to lose than Zimmer. He obviously got a nice bonus, but the real money comes if he makes it to the league. Not to mention all the things that go along with it. Constantly rehabbing an injury in the minor leagues is far from glamorous.

I hope it does get us on a roll. Unfortunately it seems we've had a few games this year that seemed like tipping point and either weren't or when they did go on a bit of a roll(like after the huge comeback against Chi Sox), they couldn't parlay it into a consistent pattern of winning.

Did anyone else notice Colon wink at the 3rd base coach as he settled in for the first pitch? They definitely planned that butcher boy from the beginning. I love how the center fielder just froze for a second.

Zimmer is what I was hoping they would flip for somebody like Shelby Miller.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but I don't think this team is going to make it to the playoffs this year. The pitching is a sieve. Everybody is underperforming, outside of Hosmer, and injuries left and right.

Having an automatic loss every 5 days is a lot to overcome.
