Gomes is sad :( someone post story. He isn't going to the white House.

My initial reaction was "what the **** is this shit?" But after reading the article, looks like the Royals hands are tied here. Someone from the White House should make an exception. The story kinda makes it look bad from a Royals perspective but what could they do? "Sorry, guy who has been with us 30 years. We're bringing last year's one speech wonder instead". |

Medlen transferred to the 60-day DL today via Royals Twitter. Stick a fork in him.
|
@Royals: We have claimed RHP Nick Tepesch off waivers from Oakland today. He will be optioned to @OMAStormChasers #Royals
@Royals: (Cont.) To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP @KrisMedlen54 has been transferred to the 60-day D.L. #Royals |

Perfect fit in the current rotation. |
Medlen was a decent risk to take. Sad to see him done (I assume), though.

The only guys I'd be looking at, if the team was trying to make a major upgrade at SP, would be Teheran, Archer, and Sonny Gray. Archer and Gray have been brutal this year, but there's enough track record there for me to like.
But you're either all-in or you're out, IMO. If we think guys like Tepesch are going to move the needle, we're probably deluding ourselves. Not that GMDM thinks that, but yeah. |
Archer is the guy I would make a run at.
Surely he just hasnt lost it... |
Quote:
According to Duncan, that price (for Gray) would be Mondesi+ and the Royals don't seem to have any plans on letting him go. IMO, I imagine that scenario would hold up here as well. |

Wait, are we talking about Brandon Finnegan? :) |
Not Royals, but lol.

When does Cain come back?
|
Yan Gomes might be out for the year with a torn-up shoulder. Dude seems to be cursed, has only reached 100 games one time.

So is DTV not showing the ****ing game tonight !!!!!!
|
Lindor is going to produce more offense by himself than the entire Royals roster tonight
|
Crazy! The Royals gave up another HR. Huh, that never happens......
|
If Eric Hosmer would like to show up to the month of July that would be great, as well.
|
Quote:
He did show up! For the game that gives WS HFA to the Indians or Rangers. |
Anybody find the game on DTV ? I want my money back !
|
You can tell how shitty this team is playing right now by the palpable excitement of no one posting a GDT :shake:

I'm pretty sure that if you have Extra Innings, you can log in and watch MLB.TV. |

Nice AB by Escobar there...

We are seeing why the Royals are hell-bent on not letting Mondesi go. Escobar.. ROFL.

I have a relative in Florida with the same problem tonight. They told her the game wasn't sold out so they couldn't show it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Exactly. I think it's a standard reply by DTV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There wasn't an Indians feed on DTV, either. |
I went tonight, it might not have been an official sellout, but their were a ton of fans there.
|
That answer is crap. I watch tons of not sold out home Royals games. Not sure why tonight wasn't on but it wasn't because of unsold tickets.
|
Officially more than $38k fans at the K this evening.
|
Fyi, you can get around the At Bat blackout by using a mock GPS location that's out of the home or away team market. I just use an app called Fake GPS. It's in the Play store, free, and as simple as touching a location to mark your fake location.

@theprogramkc: Royals SP Prospect Kyle Zimmer to undergo Thoracic Outlet Syndrome “Procedure” (surgery) late July or early August. Full recovery expected.

At this point, is Zimmer even a valuable trade chip?

Kyle Zimmer is a piece of shit pussy. **** him.
|
I don't think he's a pussy or soft. Just off-injured. Some people's bodies can't handle the rigors of pitching.
Thoracic outlet would explain some of his issues (numbness/tingling are symptoms). Would guess they've known about this for a while and have been trying to avoid surgery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Imagine you're in your 20s and a top prospect who no fault of his own keeps having health issues and injuries. This isn't Jay(son) Williams, who ended his career speeding around like an idiot on street bike, or Rothlisberger, who lucked out and didn't end his career. Hell, Tony G. broke the terms of his contract when he injured his knee playing pick up basketball. It sucks, but no need to shit on the kid for something that is beyond his control. He's doing exactly what the Royals organization and doctors ask, and can't shake the injury bug. |
If we get back in this thing, we'll all look at last night as the spark. That was a big win.
Gotta sweep this one. |

I hope it does get us on a roll. Unfortunately it seems we've had a few games this year that seemed like tipping point and either weren't or when they did go on a bit of a roll(like after the huge comeback against Chi Sox), they couldn't parlay it into a consistent pattern of winning. |

Hopefully this surgery ressurects his career.

That seems high to me, based on what I read about it when Harvey went down. But one bright side is that if this is what has been bothering his shoulder the whole way, maybe it actually does "fix" him. But I'm not holding my breath. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Did anyone else notice Colon wink at the 3rd base coach as he settled in for the first pitch? They definitely planned that butcher boy from the beginning. I love how the center fielder just froze for a second.
|
Zimmer is what I was hoping they would flip for somebody like Shelby Miller.
|
In positive prospect news, everyone favorite SS prospect has a HR, 3B and 2B for Omaha...

Optioned to AAA last week. Terrible here for the Dbacks. Rumors are Dodgers and Marlins are interested. |
Another hr given up....
|
Yeah, I hate to say it, but I don't think this team is going to make it to the playoffs this year. The pitching is a sieve. Everybody is underperforming, outside of Hosmer, and injuries left and right.

Having an automatic loss every 5 days is a lot to overcome.
