First time I will say this all year.

Horrible refs.

Yeah, that's fair.

It just seemed like they had about 25 points at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half, suddenly with 3 minutes left they were at 60. Then after Mizzou stretched it back to 10, Texas dropped 11 in the span of about 90 seconds.

Very Andersonish.

Yea, that is interesting. Now that you say that...

I think that's over-confidence in this case to where last year it was never trying to slow the game down.

A win is a win

I know. And a road conference win is even better.

Matt Pressey was in ther right spot and just backpeddled like crazy to give Kyubongo a nice little floater and he just missed it.

I'll give Haith credit for calling a nice defense there (even if Pressey didn't execute it very well), but Texas just missed an open look.

Ugh, win's a win, but there was a whole lot of 'coaching moments' to take from it. Namely - do not have Michael Dixon on the floor with a lead when you're just needing to shorten the game.

EDIT: Unless Denmon got his arm - didn't see that if he did.

Dixon won the game for us, and he's the best FT shooter in team history. Kind of need him in the game. The ****ing weave we ran for the last 12 minutes was unforgivable, though. I could feel Rick Barnes thinking "please keep doing that".

In consistent to say the least. Texas lived at the FT line the entire 2nd half and I think MU went to the line 3 times in the 2nd.

Dixon's play over the last 4 minutes was the only reason Texas was in it. He did more harm than good.

He's an electric scorer, to be sure. He's also has the basketball IQ of Phil Pressey's shoe. He just does the dumbest stuff and he seems to do it at the worst times.

He's a great guy to have on the team, but he can absolutely murder a team with those spells of "alone time" where he just completely spaces out.

Their calls didn't bother me. Their non calls did.

Giving up 15 offensive rebounds will do that.

The good thing is we have only 1 tough road game left and that is at KU. To where KU has to go to KSU, Baylor and MU.

O.city 01-30-2012 10:18 PM

I don't know that a mizzou fan should be arguing about non calls after the final shot. I don't think it was a foul, but it could have been called one.

Thus my saying it was incosistent. Pressey was mugged all night and I don't think there was 1 call.

The inside game gave the Tigers fits tonight, but they were still able to pull it off. Good to see them win a game that wasn't particularly officiated evenly. There will be more to come I'm sure

I still think they blew the over and back call. Pressey doesn't just drop that ball without it being slapped away.

There were a ton of non-calls for both sides. When games get that physical, I think both sides are going to walk away feeling like they got screwed.

Yes but a lot of those offensive rebounds seem to find Texas players as opposed to the other way around. I saw several shots where the ball just banked right to a Texas player. Not much you can do about that.
