It was decent but way overrated.

It just struck me as funny, as it would for the rest of everyone who knows who Steve Earle is. It'd be like explaining who David Johansen is by referring to his role as villain Tommy Thanatos in the Hulk Hogan vehicle, Mr. Nanny, instead of referring to his being the lead singer of the New York Dolls.

EXTREMELY stupid? Yeah, possibly. In hindsight with that movie, I enjoyed it because it was a relatively fresh idea for a movie. That's saying something these days.

Saw Unstoppable this weekend. It was ok, nothing great. Kinda cool that it's based on a true story, I guess.

Some Inception haters coming out the woodwork in this piece. I think that it's a B- sort of film, which is far from being in hatersville.

Yeah except you just compared Mr. Nanny to The Wire.

No he didn't.

for those with netflix instant watch, Vahalla Rising was pretty good. Dark, slow-paced, really good cinematography. I'd say it's definitely worth a watch, I don't think I've ever seen a film quite like it, but don't go in thinking it's an action packed viking movie, because it's not.

Watched the Girl Who Played with Fire.

Not as good as the first one but pretty damn good on it's own. That's a tough little bitch.

I liked it too. It is an amazingly quiet and beautiful movie. Very different kind of brutality.

Just saw Black Swan. Thought it was very good. Natalie Portman was great, as was Vincent Cassel. Portman does a great job of transitioning from her pathetic, desperate character in the beginning. And Cassel is always good at playing an asshole.

The movie felt a bit heavy handed, but overall I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Available on Netflix Streaming....

ZOMBIE STRIPPERS

Jenna Jamison stripping buck naked and more boobs than Showgirls. It's the "Scary Movie" of the zombie genre. The special effects are actually pretty damn good. And for all you Bush/Cheney haters there's more not so subtle insults geared towards them than you can swing a zombie boobie at.

Watch it or DIE!!!! :reaper:

Agreed, I really liked this movie. Clooney may be my favorite actor at this point, despite not wanting to like him back in his ER days.

Heavy handed in what way? Dark?

Watched Sky High last night after many "guilty pleasure" recommendations. It is a good time waster and it's hilarious to see the Dean of Community play a very similar role yet obviously different. And Farva.

Really, the only reason I ended up actually renting it was because Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in it. I was not disappointed either.

Sidenote: Winstead in one scene in particular looks almost identical to Sarah Lancaster aka Ellie Bartoswki of Chuck. It's scary.
