Nebraska has more money, more name recognition, was on the rise anyway, and this little coup they just pulled has done nothing but make it all that much better. Everything Iowa has, they're going to take. Forcibly. Top recruits, top bowl bids, and most importantly, games.

Yeah, there really isn't any other conference out there that has one earning maker that much higher than everybody else. Texas is by far and away the highest earning university in the nation when it comes to athletic department revenue. 17 million to stay in the conference is OK w/ me. Although I would prefer a Big 12/Big East merger someday w/out Texas so they don't have as much control over the conference as a whole.

I don't think KU would be making as much if they went to the PAC-10. Riding Texas' coattails gives everyone involved more (including Nebraska), I guess we're all Texas' slaves in that regard? I don't have any issues with that.

I live in AZ, get to CA several times a year. The attitude toward the midwest is the same here as in CA.
