I think it has more to do with getting a lot more money here than elsewhere than anything else. They didn't seem to have any problem with not "controlling everything" back before the big 12 was blown away with this new TV contract promise.

but being in a virtual tie for football supremacy with the SEC and the Big East in hoops should not be forgotten, despite the lack of media powers in the midwest.

just **** off man-who-likes-his-state-to-look-like-a-penis

It's not even his state. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he from Kansas originally?

Colorado (and Texas) both turned down invitations from the Pac 10 back in the 90's before the Big XII was formed. CU leaving for the Pac 10 has always been a "when" not an "if," and only 2 firm Pac 10 invitations went out in this whole process, CU and Texas. The rest of the Big XII South's invitations were conditioned on Texas accepting their invitation.

CU leaving had nothing to do with itchy feet or jumping the gun, this has apparently been in the works for awhile.

I don't trust those weasels.

Not being able to have a Texas network is also a huge deal. Huge.

Are those numbers official? Has a deal been struck?

Which makes it funny bc that is the only state Laz likes.

Ultimately, the Pac-10 is going to look pretty ****ing stupid.

They'll add two teams, Colorado and Utah, that cost more in revenue sharing than they bring to the table. Congrats.

This is what I see, reason point # 2 in a previous post.

He was born there, but moved to Florida and was abruptly sodomized by an alligator as a youth.

Thus forming his lifelong allegiance to all things Florida.

It is safe to assume that this is close enough to official to treat it as such. Texas wouldn't stay without something more solid than a guess or a vague promise.

Arizona schools? Hmm...

Maybe the Tucson folks at AU would consider it. The Phoenix/Scottsdale folks think exactly like Californians when it comes to the Midwest.
Never mind the people in the midwest are worth 100x more as human beings; these pukes don't get it for the most part.

Except, unfortunately, the Dolphins.

The Dolphins must not have been AWESOME enough in his youth to earn his support.
