D-Link’s Cloud Camera 2300 is outdoor-ready with a IP65 weatherproof casing equipped to handle dust and low-pressure water contact. It also features a versatile -13°F to 122°F operating temperature range so you can keep an eye on the bigger picture -- whatever the weather, whatever the season.

Perhaps a Best Buy and Geek Squad combo is in order. I think I'll run over and talk to those clowns.

I have fake cameras around the entrances to my house. I figure, if someone sees what appears to be a surveillance camera around the doors, they might think twice.

Here's a good deal for an outdoor camera from X10.

I would knock your fake cameras down and piss on them.

I bought the outdoor camera in the link below. This thing rocks! Crystal clear picture with pan, tilt and zoom. I got it for $199. They'll give you a deal if you talk to them.

It took a bit of time to get the port forwarding to work since I hadn't done it before, but they have a video on the enclose CD that shows how it's done.

My only complaint is that it's a bit of a hassle to mount the thing.

I sent out an email to my Computer guru earlier today and I'm waiting for a reply. I want to hang three of those. Good to hear they work well. Have you done any recording with them? How's the night picture?

I just got it up and running today. I'm waiting patiently for the sun to set so I can see the night vision. I haven't tried any recording. I've been sending the IP address to friends to make sure it works over all browsers. So far, so good. To get full functionality you need to use IE. No biggie since that's just for admin sorts of things.

yea I don't know how your house is set up. His bedroom is facing the street and the front entrance of his house and he has his camera outside his bedroom. The cord is like 3 feet so he had to get extensions but walking in his house you'd never see the cords and when you go into his room the cord drops down from a tiny hold from the corner of the ceiling. He used some neoprene foam to seal the holes and secure the wire. Its actually not as bad as you'd think with cords running all over the place. Not like the back of your entertainment center.
