Think Josh Cribbs. He has that kind of upside. He rushed and threw for 139 TDs in college, and led one of the biggest upsets in college football history as QB for Appalachian State.

As a potential slot receiver, KR/PR, and Wildcat QB, this guy is really good value.

The Houston Texans select Armanti Edwards, WR, Appalachian State

Thanks for the reminder, Hamas. Like I needed one. :doh!:

Random Thought:

With the Chiefs not having a 6th or 7th round pick do you think that gives them an advantage with Undrafted FA's? They could have the jump on some of these guys while other teams are finishing out their drafts.

Damn. Was hoping he would be sitting there for the Panthers comp pick at the end of this round.

I have only one pick left for the NYG but the prospects of adding a player like Owens this late was too much to pass up considering their poor play at this position last season.

I almost took this player in the 4th, and never expected he would still be available here. The Panthers are very thin at QB with the release of Delhomme and look to upgrade the position here. This guy is very raw, and will have a ton to learn, but he has a good amount of upside. If he can learn to run a pro style offense, then he can be a starting QB in this league. He will need to sit for at least two seasons, which should be enough time for the Matt Moore experiment to run it's course. With their sixth round pick, the Panthers select Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia.

Weis had a workout with Brown/NFLN

In the sixth round of the 2010 NFL draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select.

Thomas Austin G/C Clemson

Gives them a versatile interior linemen at a spot where that is good value.

...

The Atlanta Falcons select

Aaron Pettrey K Ohio State

Perhaps a tad too early for a kicker but Elams done and this kid has a decent leg that should help the team seal some wins.

The Patriots stock up with another pass rusher in a draft that is absolutely filled with them. This guy has the potential to compete for a starting spot down the road, even if he most likely profiles as a backup.

The New England Patriots select Kevin Basped, OLB, Nevada

doomy3 03-31-2010 11:17 PM

The Bengals select Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas.

This is a shot worth taking this late in the draft. He doesn't need to come in and contribute right away, and hopefully can learn the route tree. His 40 time was definitely disappointing, but good college production and a good, physical receiver.

The Bills need depth at DE.

The Buffalo Bills select Corey Peters, DE, Kentucky.

6th round, lets get another player that can contribute and make the roster...

Green Bay selects Zoltan Mesko, P, Michigan

Marco Polo 04-01-2010 01:27 PM

With Baltimore having the luxury on just drafting on depth at this point, the Ravens get a late round steal due to injury. If he were healthy, he would've gone in the first three rounds. Baltimore can stash him on IR and let him get healthy, then they can groom him to be the next great defensive specialist.

The Baltimore Ravens select O'Brien Schofield, DE/OLB, Wisconsin.

The Cardinals are up.

Anytime you draft a dude named Zoltan, you've won.
