Im curious how they will handle the new format? Is the season still a 24 period? If so, do they stay consistent and each episode will leap ahead every 2 hours? Or do they remain off kilter and go from 6am, to 8am, to 9am, 12pm, etc......?

I think I read somewhere that the show will still cover a 24 hour period, but just through 12 episodes.

There's no doubt.

Correct, I saw an interview with Keifer on Letterman or Fallon. Thats what he said. 24 hours but its in 12 episodes.

Now they have time to stop for a bite to eat and go to the bathroom.

Heh, well if done right, it could actually be a little more realistic. If they just leap ahead like that, then we can just assume that stuff takes place offscreen. Plus, you don't have to end 24 episodes on a cliffhanger at the top of each hour.

I read a review of the first 3 episodes. They said its like the old 24 with plot twists and the unexpected. But, its just not a remake but more of an update to Jack Bauer and the times. More of what was best......Jack kicking ass, not fighting bureaucrats so he can kick ass.

You mean like how they used to be able to drive all the way across L.A. in 10 minutes in the old series?
