If they have no evidence that you were driving the car at the time, how can you be convicted?

On felony charges?

Besides, I would assume that a lot more stop light tickets would get thrown out if people wanted to invest 1k in a lawyer instead of paying a small fine.

a moving violation is not a felony. totally different standards of evidence for enforcement.

What a piece of dirt that guy was, that ended as well as it possibly could have... sperm donor dead, child alive.

They're saying tonight the rest of the story is that this guy had just returned from 3 tours abroad in the Army. Must have been having some related issues to that.

The real reason he was running was a custody battle and was afraid he was going to lose the kid to a mother who didn't care for him properly or something.

Apparently wasn't running from a minor moving violation.

Interesting, considering he was driving 130 MPH with said kid in the car.

God got this one right. The dumbass died and the innocent lived.

HolyHat 02-16-2013 10:14 PM

the sick side of this guy wanted him and his son to die together. Otherwise he would have touched the brakes

Iowanian 02-16-2013 10:17 PM

Hard to say.

Not sticking up for him because I know nothing personally, but at 130mph, depending on the intersection he might not have even seen the car he hit.

It's just how we roll in Iowa
