Face it, Grbac sucked. Thats why he was riding the pine in Bal. contemplating retirement(which he did) while Gannon tossed int's in the SUPER BOWL.

And in the end all the Gannon folks (who cannot let it go even though we're working on 10 years now) can say is "At least Rich got to throw INT's in the SB."

That's fab.

What? That doesn't even make any sense.

7 wins, 2 losses = 78%
6 wins, 1 loss = 86%
13 wins, 3 losses = 81%

Face it, it DOES NOT MATTER who was playing QB. That team was predicated on defense, running the ball, and was coached by Marty. BOTH QB's produced identical results in the regular season, and NEITHER of them was going to produce a victory in the playoffs.

I didn't get to see all the Ravens games then, but IIRC Grbac started the whole year he was there. He had a 2 part signing bonus with the Ravens, and they declined to pick up his 2nd year, which in effect cut him loose. At least that is the way I recalled it going down.

Grbac had a pretty good playoff game, too. We lost that game because Denver ran all over us while we gained only 77 yards rushing with 3.2 ypc.

Boy do I LOVE re-living this experience.

[sarcasm]It's like we get new perspectives each time.[/sarcasm]

I respect your opinion. Again, the QB is the leader of the team
86% is better than 78%, not identical
the team had a higher avg of pts scored with Gannon
He just looked more comfortable running the offense than Grbac did. Just because Gannon was a little more mobile.

I think we could have scored more than 10 pts. against Den. without a rusty Grbac in there

Grbac had a TD to Gonzalez that was called out of bounds but clearly Tyrone Braxton pushed him out.

And there was a phantom holding call on Greg Manusky on one of Stoyo's made field goals and then after the penalty was tacked on, he shanked the next one.

You are really nitpicking if you think a 6-2 record and a 7-1 record is a major difference. As HTIS said, this team was predicated on defense.

Nah, not a major difference, I just think Gannon had more guts than Grbac.

Hell you'll find more guts inside a cantelope than you'll find inside Grbhack.

Yep. You actually have to GET to a SB to throw an interception (let alone many) in a SB.

It might not be much for Gannon but it's a heckuva lot more than his old team(s) have.

Your comment is right on and deserves rep

I don't give a flying expletive about Grbac, Gannon or the woman who has the obsession for him. It's been almost 10 years and here you are whining and moaning about the decision to keep Grbac over the guy who gives your flaps an electric tingle.

You're pathetic.
