In all seriousness. The only way I ever got rid of one was going to the doctor and getting a prescription for anti-biotics.
|
The best way to get rid of a sinus infection is to get a prescription for Levaquin.

On that note, if you're serious about getting rid of a bacterial sinus infection, get a cycle of Prednisone with your antibiotic. DO NOT use over-the-counter nose sprays for more than 2 days. The active ingredient in Afrin will help initially, but longer term use actually induces swelling, which will make things worse. If you have chronic sinus infections and would like to avoid surgery (I ended up having to have the surgery and I'm glad I did) search your area for ENT doctors doing a procedure called "chemical cautery". No, it doesn't involve burning, but it does work for alot of people. |
By the way, viruses can cause conditions like acute sinusitis and rhinitis, but a true sinus infection is almost always bacterial.
