Fixed your post.

That is pretty much the definition of a backup quarterback in this league. Which is what Huard is.

You guys can hate all you want. It doesn't change the fact Huard was a walking corpse today. He was in no shape today but sucked it up and gave it his best shot anyway. We should be praising him just for that. Most men would cower in the face of playing alongside Damion Sackintosh.

Im afraid I don't have the discard mentality like you guys. I still see him as a reliable vet BU. Sitting on the bench and healing can do wonders for his reliability for when he is needed to relieve the starting QB.

That wasn't the real Huard out there.

I've been fighting you about LJ today, but I agree with you about Huard.

Just stop. Stop defending Huard and LJ blaming it all on the line. Stop.

And he can hold a clip board like a champion.

No. It's the truth. You assholes just want to hate on the targets you've been hating for all these years. People ****ing hated Huard from the beginning because of preseason, and they never let it go.

Chiefsplanet never stops hating on a player once it starts, no matter what.

****. You. Guys.

I'm not bashing Huard, what's the point that's like bashing a special-ed kid.

But why defend him? WHO GIVES A SHIT. IT'S DAMON ****ING HUARD

Because he's clearly a better player than what he showed today.

Chief Faithful 10-05-2008 06:30 PM

Huard finished with a 19.7 QB rating! That is a whole lot worse than feeling bad.

In one of his post game interviews, Mitch said that Downfield hasn't been the same since the Raider game. He agreed that Downfield is afraid of contact and isn't the same guy.

I'm pretty sure that Downfield's always been afraid of contact, but I think there's something to the idea that he was rocked in the Raider game and all of a sudden decided that being an NFL quarterback isn't all it's made out to be.

He's a professional backup and, in his worldview, professional backups aren't supposed to get their clock cleaned on a regular basis. That's my guess.

We have bigger problems then how Huard played today. Our ****ing defense is horrid
