Good old Miami. Good old Chad.
Miami opened the season losing at home to the Jets, down 20-7 until a trash time touchdown. Pennington threw 43 times to get those 251 hard-won yards, an interception, and two TDs, both to tight ends, which just proves the game is so easy to Chad Pennington he doesn't even bother with the receivers.
Pennington followed up this magnum opus by leading his team to a 21-point drubbing by league superpower Arizona. Pennington played admirably, completing 10 passes for over one hundred yards. The performance is even more impressive when you consider three of those receptions were for about 20 yards. Pennington was pulled in favor of Chad Henne once the team went down 31-3.
Pennington did pretty well in week three, throwing for more than two hundred yards. Ronnie Brown's 5 touchdowns surely were set up by the Patriots fear of Pennington's rocket arm. Pennington leads his team to win the day against the Patriots with brilliant direct snaps to the running back. This seemed to be the key to a Pennington-led team pounding the defending AFC champions.
Following the bye week Broadway Chad lead his team to a circus-like 17 point outburst against San Diego. Once again the opponent was so intimidated by Pennington that Miami scored one of those touchdowns on a direct snap. Still, under his steady leadership the Dolphins were able to put on an offensive display, scoring two touchdowns in the same game. Pennington must have had a psychological effect on San Diego's offense, causing their third down percentage to decline to 25%. Pennington also held LaDanian Tomlinson to 35 yards on 12 carries.
Clearly, Chad Pennington has made this league his b*tch, and is hate-fucking it just to make his other b*tches jealous.
