This is why we need a playoff.:shake: Don't let writers and computers make the decision for teams and fans. Settle it on the field.

Probably Texas vs. the SEC. Unless the voters intentionally try to vote USC ahead of Texas to prevent that... but the Big 12 has too much pull to let that happen, I think.

Texas or USC vs. Bama/Florida I would think. My hatred for Texas will force me to root for OU

Wow. I still can't believe enough voters justified OU over Texas even though the Horns won on a neutral field.

That's awful - and OU is their bitter rival.

Count me as one of those traditionalists who thinks that a playoff - especially one with more than eight teams - dilutes the value of the regular season.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind a plus-one format.

I think you're right, but, presuming USC wins against UCLA, it would be an interesting situation.

Texas would move up to face the winner of Alabama/Florida.

I'm sure there will be a lot of people clamoring for USC though.

But Texas Tech beat Texas and Oklahoma beat Texas Tech. Rock. Paper. Scissors.

What you do in head to head matchup >>>>>> what each team does against a common opponent

Doesn't that argue for Texas being ranked in front of OU?

tk13 11-30-2008 03:59 PM

The one thing I'm curious to see, is if the BCS will take Boise State over Ohio State for the final at-large spot.
