As far as I'm concerned none of the teams he's involved with right now is going to give him a chance at a ring this year, so he should go with the money and that would probably be us. I know it seems Philly gives him the best chance right now but I would surgically remove my left nut and give it to him if the iggle's won the Super bowl this year, NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

Unless he is expecting a full blown big contract, the financial risk is worth it for this year. Other teams might be able to wait until after week 1 but we aren't.

Not if he worked out like shit. He has been to what? 2 other places that need OLine help since? and no one has signed him. Shit he worked out for his former team, they havent signed him yet. They have as many OL holes as the Chiefs do. No one wants to guarantee his contract...

THE DEAL IS DONE!!!!!!!!! HEY GANG, PARTY TIME!!!! PRINT 'EM etc...

KCChiefsMan 09-11-2009 09:44 PM

dont sign him to a huge deal, lets not get carried away here. But a 1 yr deal would be fine, hell give him $5 million for it, we need him.

Anyone know where a guy can find a list of offensive right tackles available after the last cuts? Surely, there's a list out there somewhere.

FAX

If this guy can still do the job they better just give him whatever he needs to come here and get the deal done. If you shore up this line we might have a decent year. If they don't it is going to be another tough one.

I figured it would be implied for anyone with half a brain. You don't sign anyone that doesn't look good but since we aren't privy to that information it's not really something worth posting. Ok everybody, Magic says we need to put a caveat at the end of every post discussing free agents.

"Unless of course said free agent looks like crap in his workout, then we shouldn't sign him"

book it and enter it into the cPlanet rules

Throwing a guaranteed contract at someone who is 35, coming off big time surgery is completely foolish when we can wait a few days and outbid teams when his contract is no longer guaranteed.

Are you kidding? I mean our SuperBowl shot is at risk here. He is the 22nd guy.....pay him whatever he wants and make it a 5 year deal RIGHT NOW!

Seymour Dick Raider will be after QB blood.

That is the issue, if it goes past this weekend ... I would bet that he signs with the Eagles unless we offered a ridiculous contract... by signing NOW, we avoid a bidding war and instead take on the risk of it being guaranteed.
