See my beard?
Aint it weird?
Don't be skeered.
It's just a beard.

I'm aware some stare at my hair.
In fact, to be fair, some despair over my hair.
But I don't care,
cause they're not aware.........

Ah, the memories.....

I've grown mine in over the last couple of weeks. I can't do the no shaving/trimming thing though; I get an Orton style neck beard if I don't shave somewhat.

I think this phenomenon should be reserved for the hockey play offs and no other time.

I'm in. I'd actually planned this anyway, I had no idea there'd be a thread about it or that it was called "Novembeard."

I agree. I do it for my team if they qualify. But now there are all kinds of people trying to rip off the tradition, people doing it for no reason like this. Baseball fans doing it when the players aren't even doing it. High school teams grow out their high school wispy mustaches. It's silly. It's a hockey tradition and should stay there in my opinion.

Well posting it on an internet forum is kind of like asking the whole world what they think.

Perhaps you should check out Movember and you'd see that it is not "for no reason".

From http://us.movember.com/about/

Quote:

A Mo Bro starts Movember – the month formerly known as November – clean shaven, and grows a moustache all month long, garnering support from friends and family in the form of donations. What’s more, a Mo Bro is a walking billboard for the cause as his new look opens the door for him to talk about cancers affecting men – making the moustache a symbol, much like the pink ribbon is for breast cancer.
This Movember, the money raised in the U.S. will be split between the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
