why would people sit at a football game?

Direckshun 11-25-2009 07:42 PM

I have a relative that has asked people to sit down at Arrowhead. I know; I was with him when it happened.

He was quickly berated by the people in front of him.

I should mention that my relative is an old, old man, and not necessarily "with it."

If they're not jackasses about it, I'll be polite about disagreeing with their point of view.

if you want to sit and watch, get club seats or stay home.

THis. I can't talk right for days after a game.

I also agree with leaving the f bombs at home. Taking both my kids to their first game at Arrowhead next weekend - hope they get to see the Chiefs put a butt whooping on the donkeys. My 7 yo daughter will rub it in the face of her classmates.

Raising them right even in donktown.

From the Chiefs website, fans "code of conduct":

CHIEFS FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

Your passion, excitement and support are important to the success of the team. Never understood how a football 'fan' could just sit and watch the entire game. **** that, stand up and make some ****ing noise, or else take your ass home and watch from your couch.

I've only been to one game at Arrowhead, and everyone in my section was up and yelling on every definsive play, and every big play on offense. Never once heard anyone being told to sit down, but I hear about it all the time and it pisses me off.

KCbroncoHATER 11-25-2009 09:56 PM

If you are going to stand you should always stand with the back of your legs touching your upright seat. The farther you move forward towards the seat in front of you it makes it that much harder for the person behind you to see.

Fritz88 11-25-2009 09:58 PM

Sit down and be loud, let other people see.

On D, Stand up.

Pablo 11-25-2009 10:04 PM

You should stand unless you're an infant, crippled, or a pussy.

If you're a pussy, just stay home.

KCbroncoHATER 11-26-2009 12:08 AM

I have been to 300 games at Arrowhead, I think I have the right to sit down when the offense is on the field, so sit your ass down.

The defense is a different, you are required to stand unless we are 4 scores down.

ArrowheadMagic 11-26-2009 12:16 AM

Havent had anyone ask me to sit in a couple of years, of course, now a days, unless its a fan of another team, the seats are empty.

Side note, if the stadium was that empty with Steelerwagon fans..... what will Cleve/Buffalo look like?

KCbroncoHATER 11-26-2009 12:30 AM

Well, after thinking about what I said above, it's true up to a point.

When attending BIG games I am cool with standing the whole time.

Were any of you at the Bills game back in the 90's.

It was far and way the loudest I have ever heard Arrowhead, bar none.

Wow ... what a day that was.
