I think it'll be a closer game than everybody expects. The D will keep it close and hopefully the offense has something ready

Defining TCU by bagging on their conference is pretty lame. They are a very good team.

I've no doubt that Green will win the job this spring. He's big, he's strong, he's fast and with a cannon arm. Right now he's just not ready. I think there's a little friction going on as to what type of offense to run. I think the WC spread that Watson envisions is going to lose out. I think the spread offense in general is starting to wane as defenses are starting to dismantle it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Watson leave for a HC gig if offered one this offseason. He's 51 and he wants to be one bad. If that were to happen I wouldn't be shocked to see TO make a call to Gill about the possibility of returning to run the offense as OC and Asst HC. Pelini would have to sign off on it but he's worked with Gill before. I don't know what Gill is making at the moment but Watson gets 450 - 500 grand with team goal incentives like Pelini. Which btw Pelini's wife just got a nice chunk of change to spend at Christmas and more to come if they beat Texas and go to a BCS bowl. But I think Osborne would bump that pay if Gill were to return.

OU has only lost two home games since Stoops has been there. TCU was one of them.

I was hoping for a bama loss today, then bama beats FL. Texas loses in the Big 12 championship. then the NCAA national championship game would've been TCU vs Cincy.

I don't think you're going to see McCoy running like you did the other night. Nebraska always plays Texas tough. Not having beat them in awhile really sticks in their craw.

That would certainly hasten the demise of the BCS though I suspect the polls, especially the Coaches Poll, would try to prevent that from happening.

I really want for a school from a less powerful conference win a national championship, which is why it'd be nice to see TCU go into the national title game and win.

But more than anything, I want the system to be derailed so that these ****ers can no longer hide behind the argument that the BCS system is by any way, shape, or form fair. And unfortunately, I don't think that will happen unless you have 3-4 teams with a very strong case for the #2 seed. How do you explain to Boise State, Cincinnati and TCU players, coaches, and fans that their teams weren't perfect enough.

It's the one reason I hate college football. How the hell can you pick a national champion based on a popularity contest? This isn't a beauty pageant.

Reerun_KC 11-29-2009 11:27 AM

Zilla... Until there is a playoff there isnt a National Champion... There might be a BCS Champion, but this system does not warrant the title of National Champion...

I wanted to see what would have happened had Alabama lost to Auburn, and then gone on to beat Florida... they would have dropped below the other undefeated teams, but I wonder if they would have jumped over everyone, in the polls and/or the computer rankings, had they beat Florida convincingly. It would have been a great scenario for a system that's built around maximizing revenue for the big 6, and it could have made for some good conspiracy talk.

And calling them a "one-hit wonder" just shows that people haven't been paying attention the past few years.

They had one hit? When was that?

Go Frog's! Always reppin' my hometown team. Got to go to the Utah game... friggin electric! TCU defense can slaughter anyone. Very balanced team. Tons of pros as usual too.

ChiefGator 11-30-2009 05:51 AM

They need to split the Mountain West into two divisions, and have a championship game. Do like the SEC does, where you play everyone in your division and then a couple (3) teams against the other division.

TCU only has two non-Mountain West teams on their schedule, which makes it to hard to fight your way into contention I think. I don't think it is that noone will play them... I think they don't have enough open dates on their schedule.

Texas Tech just backed out of playing us in 2010 or 2011. It's tough for us to get non-conference games against big schools because they don't want to risk a non-conference loss.
