I think we won in spite of Haley today.

Fantastic victory. Happy as hell it happened, and I love to put the screws to the Donkeys.

That said, this game NEVER should have been close. Please, explain where and how I'm wrong and how Haley's management of today's game contributed to the win.

I'll start: loved the aggressiveness on the first series. But, in typical Haley fashion, he's not prudent and logical with his approach. Castille, FTW.

Castille on the carry inside the 10. **** that Charles guy.

Just be glad that Denver's QB is as incompetent as our own.

Well, i certainly feel the same about my opinion regarding everyone else. No, we dont have to agree, this place would be a huge, pointless bore if that was the case.

Ok, Haley had 2 questionable calls... but if Castille had seen the triple coverage on Cassel & just ran it for 3-4 yards, it wouldnt be this giant, end of the world blight on his record that its being trumped up as.

Haleys game management today was just fine IMO (you're welcome to yours i dont care)... i come to that conclusion because we ****ing won! and anytime you win or lose, the head coach has a LOT to do with it.

Are you honestly saying his coaching skills had nothing to with it? that we coulda just had that guy in the stands in the DT jersey get the team ready this week, call the plays & steer the ship today?

But thats fine, the negatives here arent going to ruin my day or my Chiefs experience anyway.

We had been getting our asses handed to us in the run, hell look what Denver did to us at Arrowhead, so you come out and pass the ball like crazy? Pretty ****ing dumb on Denver's part. But this was Haley's best coaching job of the year, it helps when Charles, DJ, Albert, Flowers and Dorsey kicked major ass today.

This thread is going to devolve into an a completely stupid argument. It's gonna be great. But Chiefsplanet is better than ever! Haha...

It looked to me like the Chiefs were not going to let Moreno/Buckhalter beat them. They crowded the LOS and forced Orton to win the game. And Pender-aghast was successful today. (22-84/3.8)

Denver gave the Chiefs a gift horse by not playing Marshal/Royal/Scheffler and any team would have done what the Chiefs did. Make Orton win it. He couldn't. He actually made DJ look competent.

Hard to bitch that Charles was underutilized when he set a franchise record for rushing yards in a game.

The pass by Castille was stupid, the play call was obviously called because they had run it with success in practice. That fault on that play is not on the coach. It's on the player.

Gift horse? Uhhh...Gafney seemed to do a pretty nice pro-bowler immitation on our defense from what I watched. Par for the course w/ chiefs D this year. The Marshall/Royal absense made little difference IMO. Our offense putting up 30 points on the Broncos D in their stadium is reason enough to consider this a solid V.

WilliamTheIrish 01-03-2010 08:49 PM

Giving up 13 catches to Gaffe-ny doesn't bother me. After the first defensive series it looked to me Pender was not going to be beaten by the run. Carr had lots of trouble for sure, but the game plan was "Make Ortard beat you".

He couldn't. And not using three of their best playmakers was most certainly a gift horse.

"You hate it when the Chiefs win"!

Well gee, with head up ass threads like this, and people who suddenly believe all sins of dumbassery by the Trifecta Of Fail are magically forgiven with a win in a 4-12 season, how could we NOT love it when the Chiefs win?

I'm joining the club. Give me second here to get my head up my ass......there!
