What the **** are you talking about? Marty didn't run one particular system. He gave his D-Coordinators a shit ton of leeway, hence running a 3-4 with Cowher and switching to a 4-3 with Dave Adolph and Gunther.

I know Belichick is a good D-Coordinator b/c Parcells' D's w/o Belichick have never been that good, and Belichick has had great defenses when in control of them away from Parcells. We'll also ignore the fact that it is well established that Belichick has a heavy hand in prepping the D's even as HC.

Just like I'm sure the reason Parcells hasn't had as great of a defense is he hasn't had a bunch of greats like he had before either.

He had a shitload of talent in Dallas and did nothing with it.

He had less talent in New England and did more with it while BB was his DC.

Well hopefully Crennel learned a thing or two from Parcells and Billichick.
