Sadly 1/8th Montana was better than what we got now.

I don't really have any issues with Charlie Weis, I think Crennel is alright but I don't trust hiring defensive coaches that made their rep off working under Belichick. The major problem comes that I don't think anything can save Matt Cassel, I think Haley until he shows me otherwise is in over his head as a head coach and to this point Pioli's roster moves are uninspiring at best.

You almost came across human, Then said it was on Cassel.

So no go with another guidance and I hope a coach?

For anyone that asks me if I ever say anything positive about the Chiefs, look at where this team has been for 3 years..

You also probably weren't here for the 2008 draft. If they make moves I don't agree with I'll say that, that's just how I am.

I really don't know what someone would like me to do, I'm not going to say players are good when they aren't, or say a roster move is good when I don't think it is. I would think anyone that reads any of my posts would pretty readily know that I do like some of the players on the team, just none of them were brought in by Pioli so I have my reservation that he can bring in proper talent.

I consider that more of an issue than him hiring a bunch of Patriots coaches, this team has very little talent and the talent we do have wasn't brought in by him to this point.

Todd Haley needs to become at least a decent gameday coach, Cassel has to get better and this teams talent level has to increase or nothing else will matter.

That being said, I expect Weis to do a fine job and everyone to be pleased with him, Crennel I don't expect to live up to expectation.

I think Crennel won't do as well because our defense has no real playmakers or excellent talent....hopefully a scheme could be put in place like the Patriots had where they did there specific part or position to get the ball rolling.

Isn't that a good thing? I'd hate to smell the tour with Michael.

It's going to be really hard to argue that when there's going to be 3 top 5 picks on it, plus a high 2nd rounder...and maybe another 2nd rounder this year.

Titty Meat 01-14-2010 03:55 AM

Crennel wouldn't have made a huge difference with this years talent anyway.

Great post. But ya might be a little short on the ring count. I believe that: Crennel has been in 6 SBs with 5 wins. Weis has 4 rings. Pioli has three rings. I may be wrong on the count, but I can't believe that some folks are still bitching about these hires. Unreal.

No shit. There is no down side to hiring these guys at all. The "You can't recreate the past" shit is rediculous. Why can't these guys help get us a title? Because they have had alot of success as coords with NE all of a sudden they will suck with us? If that's the case then I guess Bill had better retire when NE is done with him becasue he can't have success anywhere else. It's not by coincidense that coaches change teams and have successful stints with different teams.

These guys are two of the best coords in the nation and we should be really grateful Scott was able to get them here. No way in hell they would have came without him being our GM.

i think jason is gonna be eating his words by this time next year, players are going to want to come to k.c. now and i bet we spend some money in free agency this year, very optimistic.

MichaelH 01-14-2010 05:38 AM

I'll take Patsification over pussification any day.

Mile High Mania 01-14-2010 05:51 AM

I hope it all works out for you guys... it's been a while since things have been good. I'm hoping the entire division is better next year.

This is pretty much true to me also. All these "great" coaches with rings still aren't going to have much to work with. The draft and a few FA pickups aren't going to turn it around overnight. It will be interesting to see who blames who first, and if they can hold it together for what is almost sure to be another frustrating season regardless.

You want them to be good so badly that you suspend your critical thinking. That's dangerous.

To this point Pioli hasn't done anything different than the way Peterson did things. Hire people you know, trade for the safe QB, these are all things people would go nuts on Carl for doing.

The only difference was in his first draft Peterson had the 3rd pick and got Derrick Thomas, Pioli got Tyson Jackson.

Also plenty of NE guys have nice credentials it hasn't stopped nearly all of them from shitting their pants once they left Boston.

Your opinions might have some credibility if you ever, just once, showed pleasure with ANYTHING the Chiefs have ever done. You are like a cartoon. Bitch. Bitch. Bitch. Big surprise. Mecca doesn't like the hires. Mecca doesn't like the draft pick. Mecca doesn't like the play call. Its a tired act.
