I'm going to be getting $2,700 back for the sales tax on a cash for clunkers car that I bought.

I bought a house this year and haven't owned one since 2002 which qualifies me as a first time buyer. $8k plus my normal $2k or so, woooohooooo!

File taxes?

I read on the internet that we didn't have to do that anymore. But that was in 1998.

Maybe I misunderstood.......

Ah, you must have read the "Wesley Snipes Guide to Managing Wealth".

Just like the last few years I'll put ten bucks with it and buy a bottle of Elijah Craig.

If you are getting a tax refund then you are doing it wrong. You want to be as close to zero as possible.

My dad always told me, "Why should I let the gov. hold my money, if I can hold it myself?"

Going to pay off the cards, hopefully will have some left over to use on a much needed vacation.

How's life with the bisexual roommate and her new live-in boyfriend?

We're getting 1.5k extra for upgrading our HVAC for energy efficiency. We'll probably hang onto it. Don't really need anything new anyway. If anything, we'll put it back into the house.

RaiderH8r 01-21-2010 10:58 AM

Plans?

Hookers and blow.

My wife will probably squash that though.

Munson 01-21-2010 01:07 PM

If I was smart(which I'm not), I would put it in the bank or in my Roth IRA. That being said, I'll probably spend it on one of the following:

new or used rifle/shotgun
new rifle scope
new PS3
new tires
