You gotta' put it in a wheel barrow so Charles or Jones can move and aim it.

Cardinals soliciting opinion of WR Larry Fitzgerald as to which QB he wants them to acquire. First recommendation was Kevin Kolb.

It always cracks me up when guys chime in on a topic and talk about how something is not worth talking about 20 times. Then they'll stay and talk through the whole thread about how the topic is not worth talking about.

If you don't like the topic, insert something more interesting, Eddie

It's Larry Fitzgerald. A great team mate, maybe the hardest working receiver in the league who's far from malcontent.

Plus, they just traded away Anquan Boldin. Why in the world would they trade Fitz?

I guess the asking price for LF would be three number ones, which is never going to happen.

Depends on the situation. Those attributes you described above could be applied to Tony G when we traded him.

They are re-building. They don't need the best WR in the game right now, but in 3 years.

But, I just don't see us getting him for our #1. The price is going to be higher. And if we draft like we did last year, those picks will make us better in the long term than having Fitz on the team will in the short term.

What's so funny? You don't think this is true of Tony G in 2009? Hard worker, not a malcontent, best at his position

Tony is and always has been all about Tony.

When did Tony ever offer to take less pay so that the Chiefs could put more money on the table for other players?

When did Fitzgerald not dedicate his offseason to improving as a player to persue other interests?

When did Fitzgerald ever hold out?

When did Fitzgerald ever say publicly that he wanted to be traded?

Bowser 02-06-2011 11:29 AM

I thought it was pretty much a fact that Tony made no bones about his desire to play for a contender after the '08 season?

Bump for this update per rotoworld/via NFL.com...

Larry Fitzgerald has a clause in his contract that will not allow the Cardinals to use the franchise tag on him when his deal runs out in 2012.
Interesting. Reports of the Cardinals as willing to consider a Fitzgerald trade "for the right price" make a lot more sense if he's holding that much leverage. The two sides have touched base on a new deal, but Fitz isn't going to sign the dotted line until he sees a massive upgrade at QB. Pending a new CBA, the Cardinals should have a good feel for Fitz's 2012 intentions by late spring or early summer.

Well if that report is true, it should effectively kill any fitz rumor to the chiefs. He wants a massive upgrade at qb, were boned.

Maybe he thinks Matt Cassel is a Franchise QB.

One thing you forget in this comparison. Tony G. is getting pretty old by NFL standards (will be 35 this Sunday, btw). Larry Fitzgerald is 27. Just sayin.

Average is a massive upgrade from what they are rolling with in AZ.
