Yeah, I agree. He strikes me as a humble, shy kid who is just excited to be able to play the game. I really doubt he's the type to be playing for the contract.

I'm glad he took less so we can afford to sign the other 3 young stud players we have to long-term contracts.

Hali, Bowe and Flowers should be the next 3 taken care of.

Yeah, but what they're saying is that he deserves more. He's great on the field and is quiet off the field. He deserves all he can get.

This is potentially the first time I've ever heard fans say that a professional athlete didn't get enough money.

Unless you're another RB going for a contract, JC's agent, or JC himself, you're pretty happy right now.

This is a great contract for the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans.

Charles is only 23 (will be 24 in a few weeks).

This is perfect. By the time he's 29, JC will likely have slowed some from being in the league 8 years. That's the time to dump him, and not pay like we did for LJ.
