Why is it illegal or worthy of a lawsuit to ask?
It doesn't appear that he was overtly grotesque or nasty. He simply asked them to come up because he was lonely? Who can blame a guy for asking a couple of gals to double up on him? Over the years, I'd wager I've asked 1000 girls for similar acts, and probably more bluntly.

I don't see "harassment" unless they say no thank you and he repeatedly asks them or threatens them. A man is almost obligated to ask twice, because part of the woman's natural process is to pretend they're too nice to do that the first time.

yes, he's married and a rat bastard for that....but I doubt he's the first guy in their career to ask for a happy ending. He should have known better at work. If he asked them at work...it's one thing, if he texted them later....

They were employed by the Jets (the girls). so it can be seen as a sexual harassment lawsuit. and he is a high profile douche and the Jets are a high profile douchey organization.

These chicks (chick two and three) were girls that the players had their phone numbers and could call for massages even off-hours...

This is the worst one they quoted....jesus this is nothing more than two sluts looking for a pay day that doesnt involve sucking an old guy off.

There is no end to your dumbassery.

I love the correlation that masseuse=prostitute.

I'm sure they were asking for it, right?

Iowanian 01-04-2011 10:16 AM

Were they specifically not rehired because of this incident, or are they drama? Maybe they're shitty at their job? Maybe they've jerked off other players....

Favre is proving to be a true mud vein, but the timing of this reeks of bullshit to me. If they had filed this 2 years ago, I'd be a lot more inclined to believe it was anything more than a money grab.

I only know 3 female messeuseesses but they're all easier to get into than community college.

Rape correlation huh Matrix....He didn't hold them down and bu'fu them....He sent some texts asking them to come visit him. not on the same planet.

F the Jets and F Brett Favre....but this is a bullshit money grab.

The statue of limitations here is 2 1/2 years. and Favre was just fined by the league for the Sterger episode (admission of guilt?). so maybe they only had a legit case after the NFL fined him?

They look like gold diggers, but Favre put himself in this position.

DaKCMan AP 01-04-2011 10:21 AM

Brett is a high maintenance, selfish, drama queen who has lost his game, both on and off the field.

Iowanian 01-04-2011 10:52 AM

I'm going to take my own advice.

I'm going to text Deanna Favre a pic of my angry doofloppy and a suggestive message to get even with Brettster the Molester.

Well, yeah it is. Who wants to be the random unknown massage therapist taking on Brett Favre in the court of public opinion? But once Brett got knocked down a few rungs, the money became more attainable.

I don't like our tort system any more than you do but those are the rules of the game and if you don't play you don't win. It looks like these ladies are playing by the rules and they're going to score a couple hundred thousand apiece after they pay their lawyers. So, roughly 1/4 of a game check for Brett or a couple rows of parking for the Jets. I don't feel sorry for any of them.

Between Inez Sainz (spelling?), Jenn Sterger, and now this, one thing is very clear: the New York Jets are obviously run like a pubescent frathouse, so they deserve everything they get.

Supposedly they have a text from the lady who runs/books the appointments for the Jets that says something to the effect of "sorry you had to work with a pervert, but you should have kept this all in house, you'll never work for the Jets again."

I have several female friends who are trainers or work for sports teams. They are not whores. And if they got sexual texts from players that they didn't want to deal with, they have every right to be upset. Especially if they're married and don't want their husband to get upset about their job. Especially if they lose their job for it.

I don't know all the facts. You don't either. In my book, if you call someone a whore, you better be damn sure about it. One asshole shouldn't make a girl's job uncomfortable because he brought sex into the workplace. And an organization shouldn't go out of the way to accommodate that asshole. So far, we've learned that the Jets had no control over the locker room as they harassed Ines Sainz. They invaded Jenn Sterger's privacy by stealing her cell phone # and provided it to a player who asked for it. And according to this allegation, they got mad at employees who complained about a player making sexual advances.

If this were the real world, this would be handled differently and the Jets would have an expensive lawsuit on their hands. As it stands, this is an NFL team and players are allowed to be above the rules, even at the expense of other people.

You go girl.

Looks like the appointment lady will never work for the Jets again either.

The thing that is so amazing to me about all these stories is what a difficult time Brett Favre has getting laid.

"After the allegations about Favre chasing Jets masseuses surfaced in media reports, the team's massage coordinator, Lisa Ripi, sent Scavo a series of e-mails calling Favre "a pervert" but ripping Scavo for not having keeping the matter quiet, the lawsuit says.

"There are ways to handle things in a professional manner and ways to be compensated not in public. ... All this nonsense is unnecessary," Ripi wrote, according to the lawsuit. "For sure feel horrible that u had to go thru that w a pervert. ... He was wrong on all counts...and we cldve helped u a lot more at that time."

Meanwhile, Ripi told O'Toole to "keep your mouth shut" and declared that neither O'Toole nor Scavo would ever work for the team again, the lawsuit says."

Wow ... that text from the Ripi person is pretty damning. It doesn't get much more straightforward than that.

As for the idea of equating a masseuse with a prostitute, it's pretty unfair. The girls I see at physical therapy are really nice girls with actual lives and actual boyfriends and husbands and stuff. Although I continue to hold out hope, I have yet to be propositioned by any of them.

Obviously, there are places that specialize in exotic massage, but it's unfair to lump all those girls into one giant, naked, writhing pile of whoredom.
