I don't disagree about post #7, but as a father of a daughter I'd chalk it up to emotions running high at an intense time for his family and cut him some slack.

I'm 45 and my daughter isn't even 3 years old yet.

I (hopefully) won't be a grandfather until I'm at least 70, which is kind of a drag.
