You are correct that success often comes in every other year cycles. However, the teams that usually end up succeeding after the down year (NO, GB) a have franchise QB.
Also, those up-down cycles are like 10-6 one year and 8-8 the next. If a team has truly "turned the corner" they're not going 4-12, 10-6 and 4-12.

Two Years ago he tried to convince everyone Haley flipped a fan off after a loss. Mortified! Never saw a finger from Haley. Bookstores have truth and fiction sections though. At least when there were bookstores.
