A. Rolling Stone is a garbage mag. and has been since the late '70s, so who really cares anyway.

B. Lists like these should more properly be titled Top 100 Rock and Blues Guitarists That Eveyone Has Heard Of.

Gilmour is too ****ing low.

I'd actually put him MUCH higher on the list.

I learn something new every day! I really didn't know that. But now I have "Catholic girls, they were on their knees" rolling around in my head.

Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Steve Miller aren't worthy, but ****ing Prince is above Randy Rhodes?

I can't wait for their Top 100 Drummers list. I'm sure Ringo Starr will be #1...

WhiteWhale 11-23-2011 04:50 PM

This list is a joke.

Actually, Ringo was a damn fine drummer. I rank him and Richie Hayward very high in the firmament of rock percussion stars.

Well, at least they got #1 right. I will look at the rest of the list and comment on it later.

Click on the "Share" tab under the video. There's an embed code there that you can copy and paste into a post here.

What a total abortion.

Ry Cooder should be in the top 10... and someone who could easily be listed at #1 isn't even on the list. Where is Leo Kottke?

They have John Fahey at #78 (which is a joke to be that low...) yet Kottke was easily a better player.

Okay, I admit it.....I am just too damn lazy.

These appear to be rock and pop guys for the most part.

I haven't read the entire list ... is there a jazz player on there anywhere?

Also ... Stills is below Young? That's just crazy.
