His 300-yard winner came against the Titans last year.
That was where I thought he had actually turned a corner...he was great in that game. He's taken massive dumps all over Arrowhead since. |

It's too bad the real Mark Castle had to show up in the following two games. |
212: Matt Cassel[175] November 13, 2008
New England Patriots VS New York Jets L 34-31 OT 30/51 400yds 3 TDs 0 INT 103.4 rating First QB with 400+ passing yards and 60+ rushing yards in the same game. Never did that shit here. Except in yet another losing performance. heh 232: Matt Cassel[192] November 14, 2010 Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos L 49-29 33/53 469yds 4 tds 0 int 116.0 3rd career 400-yard game. |
His number of starts (in relation to most really good quarterbacks of the past as a point of when a corner is turned in their careers) and his statistical improvement seemed to make the thought of him having turned a corner, somewhat legit at the time.
Oakland and Baltimore put that to rest really quickly and it never got better again. Dude should be gone, but I have little doubt that he will be back next year. |

One he would scramble around and get yards to extend drives. Two, the fear of going to the sidelines to face Bill Belichick. |
