His OC hire is what's going to make or break him.

No it will be who the starting QB is on opening day. If he chooses Cassel he deserves nothing but scorn

We are a stale team with Cassel or Orton going into next season. It's past time for change and change of venue on aproach with the QB situation. So I'm not against Romeo but unless he makes that major change we are ****ed with him. The sooner we get a young gun going the sooner we can start building for a championship. jmo.

The Browns did draft a QB in the first with him as HC, so, that's encouraging...

We are kind of stagnant...

BTW, Jeff Chaduay? (spelling) was on 810 today and felt that this isnt a home run hire, nor a hire that gets the Chiefs anywhere. AND said that he wouldnt be surprised if Pioli was gone in 2-3 with Crennel...

Those are pretty strong thoughts on the subject.

But since Pioli is white and we promote racism here, Pioli should get a pass, dont you agree?

Jeff CHADIHA, has been on 810 for a few years. He's from KC I think, and I haven't heard him say very much he's ever liked about the team. It's not a home run hire, but I didn't see a home run hire. Based on how the team played for him, it makes sense. I feel more comfortable with Crennel, than any assistant. Fisher would have made a big splash, but thinking about it, I don't know if I'd expect him to turn KC into some powerhouse.

If Pioli has any respect for Romeo & let him coach up the guys then maybe Romeo can influence Pioli in making the switch? That is little hope to carry on with.

Thanks for the info and correction. Appreciate it.

I don't know much about the guy. Just what I heard while streaming 810.at the gym tonight.

Fair enough. Like someone posted. He did draft a qb in Cleveland.

I'm sure Romeo's opinion carries a lot more weight that Haley's ever did...

Yea I was just thinking about that. I'd love to Get a Browns fan opinion of him and specifically how he handled the whole Quinn vs. Anderson thing.

But..

Untill it happens for us the Chiefs are smuckered in having mediocre season after seasons to continue in pergatory or hell, however you want to look at it.

DeezNutz 01-10-2012 10:38 PM

How many penalties did KC get for 12 men on the field in the last three games?

I didn't see any appreciable improvement in terms of discipline or game management. Doesn't mean RAC is destined to fail, but he damn sure better put together one hell of a staff, particularly someone who can see the macro-level, while RAC focuses on the defense.

Or we're ****ed.

Yes, it's a smart move to just look at the record and not consider any other factors.

Cleveland is a death sentence for any coach.

Belicheat turned them into a powerhouse.

Isn't this thread about the Jags? Not Chiefs coach?

Well they went 10-6 with Anderson, so he had to start him the next year. Anderson sucked, put Quinn in he got hurt and the season went down hill from there.

Even traded up to take him.

Overpaid 3 fold to do so, even.

BigChiefFan 01-10-2012 11:53 PM

He's actually a good candidate for taking over as a head coach somewhere in the NFL. He didn't do well in his prior stints as head coach, but he has certainly utilized his killer offense to get another shot.
