Matt Ryan is a TERRIBLE road qb. We need to give him some confusing looks mixed with a few easy completions to give the illusion of confidence before we rape him with a couple pick6ers.
On offense, we need to use a lot of draw, counter and stretch runs to start off with to loosen up their pass rush and then give them a lot of seam throws to Moeaki and quick slants to Bowe/Baldwin...this should open up play action and allow us to use more power runs. If we come out predictable and try to win with the short passes and dump offs mixed with predictable run calls, we will do nothing and get behind multiple scores early and get blown out. We need to also work the matchups to our advantage...we have two monsters at receiver and they shouldn't be able to match up with both of them while effectively covering Tony and the screen/swing game. In all honesty, I think we have about a 60% chance at victory if Cassel can give us "effective game manager" quality play. Probably more. Trouble is, I doubt we get that out of him and that will likely be the same old story as we are all used to. |

84.6 QB Rating. 300 yards per game on the road. I wish we could get those terrible numbers from Matt. |

Of course Matt will be at home in Week 1...where he averaged 197 ypg and had 4 TD in 5 games.... |

so if Matt Ryan is a "TERRIBLE road QB" then I guess it's safe to say that Matt Cassel sets the bar for "TERRIBLE home QB" |
I worded that poorly.
I meant to say he is a terrible road qb in comparison to his production as a home qb. I posted that stats of home vs away the other day and they are astoundingly different. |
at least cassel is consistent at home or on the road we know we will see 3-7 25 yards by halftime and maybe a pick

OMG SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT You know what would suck? A full season of "Matt Ryan Road Games." That would be a shitty 4,800 yards, 24 TD and 14 INT. |
Cassel is equally as terrible at home or on the road.
Matt Ryan is borderline unstoppable at home, but his efficiency drops off the map when he leaves Atlanta. |
300 yards a game just sucks.
|
so it's a moot point because either way Cassel sucks while Matt Ryan just drops off a little on the road.

The guys completion % drops almost 10 points when he leaves Atlanta. He has those yards because he is throwing from behind. It's like saying Cassel had a good game against Denver when he threw for 400 yards. |
@chi 319 yards ...his team scored 12 points
|
@tb 330 yards....his team scored 13 pts
@ Houston 267 yards...scored 10 pts @NO 373 yards...scored 16pts |
