So according to the map, who has the smaller fan base Baltimore or J.E.T.S?

A bunch of Packer/Viking/Bear Fans

There is that. But I've gotten a lot of waves and thumbs ups driving around the Cedar Valley in my Chief truck the past month with the thought of football starting to get on everyone's mind :)

All this map tells me is that we desperately need the Anchorage Wolverines to join the league immediately.

"It's a nipple, cause I'm drooling"

Or the Honolulu Tropicals would be good as well.

It's about 50/50. This is the front line.

Thank God I lived in Tulsa during the Superbowl runs........

el borracho 07-24-2012 11:29 PM

lol, there are no Cardinals fans in New Mexico. Cowboys, Broncos and Raiders are the rage here.

Which is true, I never meet Giants or Jets fans...ever. I bet New Yorkers wouldn't be able to even comprehend that. ESPN is so frustrating to us midwesterners.

Not really. First off the map is wrong. Bills country is not that big, and Giants/Jets bleeds a lot into PHI and NE territory. Yes there are some self-centered fans, but NY also has a TON of very educated sports fans. The reason for it, the media. There are so many outlets and ways to hear info about sports around here. You would be surprised to hear how many fans around here can accurately tell you the good and bad things about the Chiefs, or the Royals for that matter. There are 2 football, 3 hockey, 2 basketball, and 2 baseball teams in the metro area. We are used to hearing about many different teams. Thats not even counting the college teams.

ESPN sucks. ESPN doesn't represent NY area fans just because they cover them way too much. If you called up local sports radio here and asked about non-local teams I think you would be surprised in the response. We don't go to ESPN for our info, we go to local sports radio like anyone else.

Its all Chiefs all the time in KC no matter what. Thats awesome, but as great and loved as the Giants are, they aren't even the biggest thing in NY. If they struggle, they can fall behind a bunch of teams. No matter what, its Chiefs first all the time. I think thats awesome being a Chiefs fan from NJ, but I think you should realize that KC is the actual area where only one team exists.
