It's the NFL, next man up.

This is a great opportunity to give Hali enough reps to stay in shape, but in this case it gives plenty of chances to finding out who the #2 should be...Give 2 and 3 lots of reps to find out what we have in that spot.

Hali is a seasoned vet, he's going to be fine missing some reps.

This is a perfect chance for Pioli's hand picked qb to show that is "improved" and can beat a good team, at home.

I'm not bagging on him. I'm saying, if he's improved the way he has been in the preseason, to go out, put together a big game and overcome adversity.

Replace Hali with Merriman, problem solved.

Good chance for Sheffield to establish himself as a pass rusher. Next man up.

Studebakers can be bad ass!

this
and make damn sure Hali knows he is a dumb **** for getting caught

how many time does it have to be said?

While in the 3-4, Seymour averaged about 5 sacks per season.

Averaged

Ty Warren averaged about 3 per year.

Tyson Jackson has 2 in 3 years.

Dorsey has 4 in 4 years.

Their MAIN job isnt to pressure the quarterbacks, but lets not act as if getting no pass rush at all is OK.

Both players need to step up their ability to at least push the pocket and make the qbs jobs harder and to finish a play here and there with a sack.

As far as the OP goes, Houston should be able to split his time between the left and right side on friday and Studebaker should probably be the LOLB against Atlanta and should be just dropped into a zone almost exclusively.

Let Houston attack Sam Baker or Will Svitek all ****ing day long.

Since this game is a lost cause we should probably just treat it like preseason game #5 and rest all the starters.

Romeo is probably gonna respond to this by dropping 8 guys on most passing plays.

Can't wait.

Pretending you know one one billionth of what Crennel knows about defense ROFL Priceless.

Good post.

Do you put Studebaker at LOLB and move Houston to ROLB? Or, do you just put Sheffield in there at ROLB? I bet it will be a combination. I can't see them putting Studebaker at ROLB. He's never played there. Houston played both sides at UGA. Sheffield has had a good camp but, I think we'll be better with Studebaker. He is our best all around OLB. He's a good tackler and the best in coverage. He's not such a good blitzer but he knows what he is doing out there.
