I'm a bit of a beer snob, so my general rule is to stay away from all Domestics and Imports whenever possible and instead look for a good craft brew.

If you're new to the craft world, the best kinds to get into without feeling like they're too weird are generally ambers and wheats. There are tons of them out there, so I won't mention specifics to try - be adventurous!

Not that it REALLY matters, but the beer snob in me requires me to inform you that Blue Moon is made by Coors, Shock Top is made by Budweiser, and Leinenkugels is made by Miller. The beers themselves are fine, but I usually steer clear out of principle.
